The Los Angeles Zoo was the principal location for hatching/raising also, the San Diego Zoo/Safari Park + a place in Idaho, have been instrumental in returning CA Condors into the wild. There are now several locations in California and Baja Mexico with fledgling colonies. I’ve seen them once while sailing off the coast of So. Cal. An amazing sight to behold. So ugly they’re cute. :)
