Hypothetically speaking, if they did a re-do without Ezri they'd have more room for other characters to get more screentime. If Damar got more screentime out of this, what kinds of plots/interactions with others would you like to see from him?

I’m fairly pleased with the arch they did for Damar as is, but I certainly wouldn’t complain if he’d had more screentime.  I think they did a good job of building up his self-disgust and his inner conflict about his misgivings re: what was happening within the Union.  I guess if I had to choose, I kind of want to know more about his personal life. We see him with various women and later find out that he was married with a child.  Is that typical, accepted behavior among Cardassians?  Were his affairs, like his alcoholism, symptomatic of his situational depression and an attempt to cope with his way of life unraveling right before his eyes?  I don’t know though.  I also kind of like not knowing about his family.  They could have also done more with showing how he was able to drum up support from others in the military complex, like Rusot.  They were old friends, I believe, but how did he convince others to join him?  Who betrayed his rebellion to the Dominion?

Also, let’s just make Zatara canon.
