Cardassians blush blue? Like I always thought female cardassians wore blue makeup, but the fandom consensus is that it’s blushing, and then I realized that it’s both. It’s like wearing blush to make your cheeks red. They just like to emphasise the natural blue color.
Yeah, my headcanon is that Cardassians have a dark purplish/bluish blood and so their skin gets a bluish flush when they are excited, embarrassed, aroused, etc - with some areas being affected more prominently than others. And yes, make-up is used to emphasize the natural coloring!
