Just Anti Things: quit whining about coping mechanisms, you’re adults, only children can have those
How to tell when you’ve drank fully from the well of shit that is social-conservatism, while still having the temerity to call oneself ‘progressive’:
- denying the fact that transformative fandom is, at its core, a female-dominated space, one of the few where AFAB people, queer people etc, can be relatively free of societal pressure and prioritize ourselves and our needs over society’s demands of how we should behave or what we should derive our happiness from.
- screeds that can be reduced to nothing but ‘HOW DARE YOU NOT THINK OF THE PRECIOUS CHILDRANZ!!!’ and forcing the role of Guardians of Putative Children on women, forcing women to give up the things they enjoy due to hypothetical children being present in spaces not meant for them, is textbook misogyny, how the fuck did these people get so brain-fried they’re incapable of comprehending this?
- massive disingenuousness, where ‘children’ usually stands for incredibly abusive, toxic teenagers, who know exactly what they’re doing, purposefully going into adults-only spaces/tags and imploding there, knowing that their caterwauling has a good chance of destroying the adult-only space.
