they are canonically a poly species!! most of their relationships involve marrying multiple people, who are married to other people, and so on. so like doctor phlox is married to his wives, who are married to other people. from what ent has shown the wives arent married to each other?? but i dont think there’d be anything stopping them. denobulans are honestly such a great species. i hope there are more shown in the new series.
I love the Denobulans and their casually aggressively polyamorous culture! I love that it turned the gross old “I am personally offended that my wife is flirting with you” trope into “I am personally offended that you are not fucking my wife, what is wrong with you, she’s beautiful”
