Make sure to buy the gochujang sauce straight and do not buy a pre-mix Tteokbokki sauce without checking the ingredients. Pre-made mixes for Tteokbokki are often made with fish products - Gochujang is not :D (but still read the ingredients just in case!)

They are not paying aritsts anynore, but they are pocketing the saving and not reducing the cost to consumers.
