Also fuck the whole broken school system that didn’t know what to do with us and probably messed us up for life. But we’re still here that’s great!
Isn’t it ridiculous that I feel embarrassed/awkward about reblogging this? I mean… I am smart, I am academic, I was a gifted student and got an academic scholarship to a private high school ffs… why should I feel embarrassed to say that? Why do we expect women to be demure and self-effacing about their skills and accomplishments?
This is badass and I’d feel 100% embarrassed too so let’s enjoy how awesomely smart you are together. :)
I once lost a few points on a homework assignment - designing a training module in Powerpoint for adults new to a job - because parts of it were written at too high a level.
Man, been out of school forever. Three degrees later, and I am still being told to “dumb stuff down.”
