Author’s note: Since the request was pretty broad, I felt like doing some headcanons! Also, reminding everyone that I don’t write NSFW/smut!
Being in a Relationship with Damar Would Include:
- Damar is most often very busy with his work, so he feels guilty that he can’t spend as much time with you as he’d like.
- But when he does have the time, he’ll certainly treat you like royalty to make up for lost time.
- He’s not a huge fan of the holodeck, so dates usually happen in either your quarters or his.
- He will leave bouquets of your favourite flowers in your room, with a sweet note next to the vase.
- He’s surprisingly not a bad cook, and likes to try making some of his favourite recipes from home for you.
- Damar also likes to read to you, while the both of you are cuddling together on the couch.
- While the Cardassian food has been a success, the literature has not.
- “It’s rather repetitive, don’t you think?”
- “This is a classic!”
- He does like it when you read your favourite books to him.
- You take particular note of the ones he likes, to give to him as presents later on.
- Lots of furtive, little kisses.
- He doesn’t mind a little risk, when he’s feeling a bit more bold or has had a few glasses of kanar, and will sometimes steal a kiss in a semi-public place.
- He takes every possible chance he has to show you how much he appreciates you.
- Damar is a naturally restrained person, so he sometimes finds it difficult to express his emotions.
- It’s more easy when you’re around him, and he feels less insecure about being emotional and sharing his feelings with you.
- You have a tradition of spending the night with each other before Damar goes out for a mission or far away for a while.
- Most of the time you just hold each other, knowing that given the dangers of the Dominion War, one never knows when will be the last time.
- He’s given you a necklace with a vial of Cardassian soil and a scale of his that broke off one day.
- He told you that if he ever is killed while on a mission, to find a way to bury the vial on Cardassia.
- You told him never to say such an awful thing ever again.
- The one time he’ll let his guard down completely in public is when he’s coming back to the station.
- And he’ll see you standing in the shuttlebay, and it’ll be like one of those cheesy romance movies in which the lovers run to each other after being separated.
