Hey, friends.
I have noticed an upswing in the amount of alarming and misinformed posts on this site about the nature of human sexuality. I considered responding to one in a constructive way, but I honestly think there would be nothing to be gained from engaging with that amount of open hostility.
Instead, I just want to say that my blog is sex positive. For those of you who don’t know, before I shifted gears into pursuing a career with animals, I was working towards my PhD in evolutionary psychology, specifically for sex therapy (I should really share my dissertation proposal some time because I am sure some of you would really enjoy it).
The most important thing in any intimate relationship is openness and honesty.
I am happy to have a respectful and constructive conversation about sex, sexuality, and human behavior - and as always, anon is on.
As a side note to my asexual friends, this post is not intended to exclude you or invalidate your experiences. I am happy to discuss asexuality as well; I just have a very different personal background when it comes to sex.
Anyway…
Be safe, be healthy, be happy!
