Prefacing this by saying you’re signing up to read a sort of trainwreck since it’s the rough draft and all but having said that…
My first novel is finished! At least the rough draft of it anyway and I’m hoping some people can help me out with a read of this so I can get some good direction on making adjustments for the second draft. Unfortunately, I’m broke so i can’t offer much but my eternal gratitude but here go the details:
Title: A Passage of Hands
Length: 39,847k words/ 13 chapters
Summary: In 1873, following the financial panic, Aleksander Szymanski sets off for Colorado from Columbus Ohio in search of opportunity. Meeting fellow traveler James Mason, Alex is immediately intrigued and decides to forego the remainder of the train ride to accompany the Mason family wagon train instead.
Note: This is an lgbt story- main character Alex is a trans man
Warnings: a LOT of porn as well as violence, period typical homophobia as well as language pertaining to race and sexuality, a lot of religious shit as the main character is Catholic, a bit of dubcon, and strong language in general.
betabooks does provide guidance on things I’m curious about and looking for. I’m hoping to get started the second draft in approximately a month, so anyone who would be able to read/provide feedback by say 3/20 or thereabouts would be much appreciated.
