Thanks, I want to draw all the redesigns more! Just need some more of that copious spare time, eh?

I wanted to make the Cardassians large in part because:

1. I wanted a range of sizes for the redesigns (still way smaller than Klingon)

2. DS9 is their station, so if they were tiny they probably wouldn’t have built it as able to accommodate larger species (and I love the idea of the humans always being a bit smaller than who the controls etc were ostensibly for)

3. In “Empok Nor” they’re terrified of, like, two Cardassian soldiers. And I was like, well, what if that were legit instead of feeling like a stupid budget restraint? Because they’re genuinely terrifying? Giant crocodile people with vicious teeth and claws?

4. It’s funny for Garak to do his “lil ol me” thing if he’s goddamn massive.

5. Small Enemy is sort of overplayed at this point, I like a Dukat who does get to look down on other people figuratively and literally.

I love number two especially and I’m imagining all the humans having to get up on chairs to use the replicators.
