What really upsets me about the GOT finale
At the beginning of season 7 at Daenerys’ war table we have 4 relatively diverse woman in power, of different sexualitys, different ages, from very different walks of life. Three eunuchs, and a dwarf. Literally no one considered a “whole man” by the people of westeros, playing politics and working together to stop Cersei and ultimately work towards “peace.”
In the end we get a table of white guys deciding the fate of the world again. Subverted expectations my ass.
Agree. A woman who can’t conceive, who has lost both a child and lovers, dares reach for power and goes mad. A white hero must put her down in order for other white men to take her power, unearned, so things can get back to the status quo. The most typical and boring ending of all -
