In 1962, Jean Boullet produced an animated adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula using silhouette animation. Though it remains partially lost and partially unfinished, it is notable for both its striking imagery and the pronounced homoeroticism of the young Jonathan Harker’s first encounter with Dracula.
