First pathologist feels certain that the tumor is malignant. Second
pathologist feels the results are unclear. Vet wants to do
what is called a low-dose dexamethasone suppression test on Monday.
Depending on results, we could potentially medicate for symptoms for the
time being. I told him I’m not willing to put Henry through another big
surgery.
His incision got infected, so we’re having to do another round of antibiotics ($30). The vet is also talking about putting him on pain meds to help with his back legs and an anti-seizure medication; I’m not sure of the cost yet. The testing scheduled for Monday is $235.
So, we’re now looking at vet bills closer to $3400. If anyone is interested in donating or ordering commissions, PLEASE let me know. The timing is especially bad because my lease is up on 10/17 and I currently have no idea where Henry and I are going to go… So, I really need to get him stable in the next two weeks.
