Some things you can talk about in a smut fic comment that aren’t about the actual smut:
- characterization
- the emotions that were in play
- the way this affected the characters’ relationship
- the writing style / prose
If you want to comment on the smut itself:
- some form of “that was hot!”
- “I’ll be in my bunk” - old fandom reference to Jayne from the show Firefly
- *fans self*
- reaction gif
- emojis (😍😳💕👌💯 etc)
And of course, it’s always appreciated just to thank the person for writing and tell them that you liked it.
For more thoughts on this topic, see this ask from a year or so ago. And of course, if you’re a reader or a writer with some additional advice, feel free to add it on :)
As a sometime smut writer myself, we write this stuff to turn people on. It’s a sexual context. You would have to be really, really egregious to come off as creepy. I’ve never had a comment that I considered even close to creepy. Be as graphic or as delicate as you like!
