OK, I don’t wanna be an asshole here, but I’m genuinely confused.... the official Texas Chain Saw folks had my Leatherface print pulled off of Redbubble for copyright violation... but their official twitter (which I follow, of course) retweeted this artists Leatherface and Sally drawings, linking to their Etsy store where they are selling prints of these pieces.
Am I missing something here? What is the difference between these two scenarios? I like to think my drawing is just as nice is this art, and from what I can tell these prints are not licensed, so why did I get penalized (which kinda broke my heart, to be honest, because I adore this movie so much and I’ve bought plenty of official merch). I would genuinely like to know what makes one worthy of being promoted by the official twitter vs punished by their lawyers. :(
