Good thing we have A LOT to discuss when it comes to Dennis’ glasses! Let’s see what we have so far…
This is the first photo I’ve seen, where he wears glasses with a sheer spectacle frame:
The “granny glasses” (I’m open for alternative names!) on the other side appear on at least 2 of the photos I posted these days:
Or are these even the same? The glasses in the second pic look kinda toned, the glasses in the first one doesn’t.

About toned/un-toned issue - those glasses have photochromic lenses. So they tone down only when exposed to sunlight.
Jeffrey’s glasses are the same. Here’s an example when they start to tone down.

I’m not completely sure, but I think Dennis’ wore the black pair in a Sci-Fi-series named “The lost room”:
Which is worth the mention, because most of the time you see him doing his job, he wears very pain ‘n’ simple glasses.
I’ve noticed that Jeffrey’s glasses have photochromic lenses only recently myself! I was browsing the cruise photos and saw his half-toned-down lenses during DS9 panel. Up until that moment I was sure that he was wearing sunglasses for that event (it was VERY sunny that day).
And while we’re at it - here, have some Smorgaspout and some Pout™.
Aaaand going back to lovely Dennis.
I looked long and hard, and I’m almost sure that “The lost room” glasses and black glasses are two different glasses. The shape is pretty much the same, yes. But Room glasses have distinct reddish tinge which black glasses do not seem to have, at least it’s not visible from this angle. You have more pics of them by any chance? :))
Also, Dennis’s black glasses somehow reminded me of this guy:
I mean yeah, they are different of course. But still I can’t stop seeing the similarity ^.^
So, what about calling black glasses “Jeff Goldblum glasses”?
They really got so dark on the cruise, that they look like regular sunglasses!

I was sure that Dennis’ Goldblum glasses and the room glasses are the same, they look so similar in shape and embellishment! But since I found more pics of the first, I think you’re right – the silver ornament in the upper angles are different. The Goldblum glasses have oval embellishments, while the room glasses have triangles.
He’s not wearing the room glasses on his other promo pics, sooo looks like I have to watch „The lost room“ again to get more pics of those glasses. ~
Silver ornaments of any kind are such a long-burning issue by the way, Jeff Goldblum’s glasses have them too and you know, Jeffrey Combs’…
OMG, you’re right! JCombs wears Jeff Goldblum glasses as well! Why haven’t I noticed it before? Was too distracted by shirts and smorgaspouts I presume.
And yes, what’s the deal with the silver ornaments? Good thing that they’re different (ovals, lines, T-lines…), so we can be reasonably sure they all don’t wear the same pair of glasses XD
I’m also delighted to see so many Dennis’s selfies! He clearly takes pleasure in sharing his lovely smile with the world - the practice which I whole-heartedly welcome!

I got some screenshots from “The lost room” in the meantime. And surprise! He’s not wearing the glasses from the promo pic at all. Instead he has this plain pair (without ANY ornaments!! *GASP*):
These shots are from the first two episodes. So there is still a chance, that he puts the promo glasses on in a later ep. ~

Please re-watch and try to find the reddish glasses! Because these, and I’m afraid I’ll sound like your grandma, are boring. The man is fine tho and I, again like your grandma, would not hesitate to date him.
GOOD NEWS! The reddish promo glasses appear in episode 4 for the first time. And there is a good reason, why he’s wearing the boring glasses most of the time. I completely forgot that the red glasses are an important special object in the series..

These are perfect Glasses Grabs!! I’m so glad that the creators of “The Lost Room” recognize that glasses are an Important Special Object which has to be dealt with by a very handsome man in different compromising positions.

And that makes me feel like I missed a trend, but that wouldn’t be much of a surprise, I mean - I missed Colin Firth whole existence till today. ANYWAY, here is the evidence:

These are very good glasses. I would even go as far as say that this pair might be my favourite one so far, though I’m struggling to come up with a name for them right now.

I used to have one of him actually wearing his glasses but for now this will have to do.
(It’s funny because I actually have frames very similar to those and wore them for years before I got my current frames a year ago.)

The frame looks similar to the one I’m wearing right now! Mine is less round and more angular shaped though.

Since your addition to the hot men post, I’m trying to find out, if Brent is a part of the silver ornament conspiracy. But so far it looks like he’s not?
I had to do some research but now I can finally confirm that Brent IS a part of the silver ornament conspiracy. Or at least he was circa 2010-2011.
The ornaments are on the sides of his spectacles, but the pattern is unmistakable. Et tu, Brent, et tu…
On the other hand, I think we can all agree that in the course of his life he’s made much more questionable eyewear choices. xD
Following on the revelation, that let us all speechless (*cries* Not you, Brent! We already lost so many to the Silver ornament conspiracy!) ..
