Should Cardassians have tails?
Like for no, reblog for yes
Cardassians should absolutely have tails.
So far the votes are at ‘no’ but you may be convincing me of something here
Hell yes they should have tails.
Consider Garak wrapping his tail around Julian to fluster the man.
Consider them eating lunch and Julian talking very seriously about something but Garak getting bored and wanting to change the subject. So he slowly moves his tail under the table to tease Julian ;3. The flustered expression on the humans face.
Consider Garak’s tail reacting to his emotions and moods. He has taught himself to control it but it has gotten harder on the station. Most of the time it languidly wags in listless arcs , especially after the withdrawl, due to his depression.
But when he sees Julian, it curls up and moves give away how happy he is to see the Doctor.
Also that tension scene with Gul Dukat would be so much more tense n sexy if they had tails to hint at what each of them is feeling. Gul Dukats up in the air waving softly, teasingly while Garaks is on alert even though he tries to look relaxed

Also consider tail jewelry and decoration for rank on Dukats side or just general styling on Garaks.
Also also, the tails being sensitive at the base and ridges, Julian running his hand over it by accident and Garak’s reaction being immediate, leaning into Julian, breath hitched.
There are so many possibilities.
TlDR: Every scene can be made better with a tail
It is official- the votes are 8 to 6. Cardassians, officially, should have tails. You heard it here first, folks. Henceforth in all my fanfiction Cardassians will now have tails.
absoLUTELY cardassians should have tails! seconding everything @mind-o-mel said there (also it’s just funny considering how much work Cardassians in general do to hide their emotional state, but their tails just keep giving it away - A Stitch In Time is partially about Garak’s years growing up training to be a spy and now I want that book completely the same, but with Tail Control Classes or smthin)
Tail socks for chilly nights.
