the main iguana defense is a literal Tail Whip!
if you get too close, it will immediately crack you on whatever body part is closest with the tip of its tail.
now this might sound cute, but their tails make up half their total length, meaning these guys are basically wielding a reptilian bullwhip. the tip of that thing hits you hard enough to bruise or even fracture bones if the iguana is big enough!
respect their space, or get it in the face
