If Zatara were to visit Earth, what difference between Earth and Cardassia would surprise her the most? What planet would she most like to visit (aside from anywhere on Cardassia)?

Zatara is not generally fond of offworlders and doesn’t have much respect for the galaxy beyond the borders of the Cardassian Union.  If she were to visit a planet outside of Prime, I have a headcanon that Cardassians have a tropical retreat similar to Risa, but it’s under strict Cardassian control.  Lots of beaches, soft lapping waves, warm breezes, and privacy to be as uninhibited as you like with your lover.  That being said, she had a friendly competition with Quark and was somewhat fond of him, as much as she can really be fond of a non-Cardassian.  So, I think it might be possible that she would be interested in seeing Ferenginar and the rain and the environment that helped shape these fascinating little creatures, as she thinks of them.  I suspect she sees their cleverness and knows that others tend to underestimate them… And Zatara knows the dangers inherent in underestimating people.  Just look at what happened on Bajor.

As for Earth, I think she would be very surprised that some Terrans live in areas that get large quantities of snow, when they have the option to select other regions of the planet that are so pleasantly warm.  I can’t say she would be surprised by the lack of discipline and the focus on the individual on Earth, but I think those are things that would stand out to her the most.
