This is why the run-like-a-business idea is so fucking stupid. Everyone thinks they’re going to be one of the shareholders in this scenario rather than one of the employees. He’s running it exactly like one of his businesses — hoarding benefits at the top while shortchanging everyone else, using damaging shortcuts, stacking management with cronies, using short-term thinking without care for long term viability, I mean what did they think he was going to do? That’s business now.
Suing anyone who might be a problem until they go away, etc.
Businesses care about profit and wringing as much money out of something as you can. In business, people are an expense and a person in the ass that gets in the way of your profit. Governments by definition can't care about profit because their job is to take care of people and the common good. When you run a country like a business, you throw the common good out the window and you no longer have a true, functioning government.
