Garashir and Weyoun 6

corpse-of-bandersnatch

I had a fanfic idea, that centres around Bashir, Garak and Weyoun 6. I probably won’t write more of it than I already did - which is a rough summary and two dialogues between Garak and Weyoun 6.

There are a few cardassian words in it, which I borrowed from this post by @ladyvean and from the cardassian dictionary by @feltelures and @tinsnip .

I wrote it in my mothertongue first and then translated it into english, which is a real pain in the a…

Anyway! Here it is! I really hope somebody l enjoys it. And if so, please let me know, because I feel like I have absolutely nothing to offer to this fandom and it makes me feel disconnected, sad and lonely.

warning: eN eS eF We (though not in great detail)

context: Garak and Bashir share quarters and live in an open relationship. Weyoun 6 survived and has a quarter on DS9 as well.

Bashir helps him to get rid of his implants, the already ‘defect’ genetic programming and manipulations of the Vorta physique, as well as with the consequences, which result from the removal.

One day, Weyoun visits Bashir in their Garashir quarters to inform him about some weird new sensations he feels in his body. After a checkup Bashir concludes, that Weyoun’s body produces hormones, that were formerly surpressed, thanks to the Founders. So far, there is no sign of any forseeable risk resulting from these hormones.

Weyoun asks Bashir, if he’d mind to keep him company, not primarily as a doctor, but as a friend. At the moment, Weyoun isn’t worried about the changes he’s going through. It’s an exciting time! But exploring the changes all alone in his quarters tempers the excitement and gives the whole process a bitter taste. Of course, Bashir doesn’t have to think twice about his response. So Weyoun stays and they talk. About the things they have in common and about their differences.

The new sensations in Weyoun’s body become stronger and stronger. He describes his feelings and what kind of thoughts result from them. The Vorta would love to follow his longing wherever it takes him - with Bashir on his side. Another easy decision for Bashir, who’s just as curious and excited (and slightly aroused) as Weyoun. So they end up taking a close look at the Vorta’s arising genital. Though, arising in a completely different way than that of a human would. Equipped with the safety measures of the future, Bashir goes down on Weyoun.

And while Bashir has his head between Vorta legs, Garak enters the quarters. Bashir is too engrossed to notice. Weyoun hears the intruder, but acts like he doesn’t, because he doesn’t want to risk the situation to end. Garak on the other side is absolutely delighted by what he sees. To disturb them is the last thing he want - but he allows himself to watch them for a while, before he sneaks back out of the quarters.Garak is rightfully convinced, that Weyoun heard, but ignored him.

Actually he wanted to ask his dear Doctor, if he’d be interested in a spontaneous lunch before his next shift starts. But since Bashir is terribly busy, Garak decides to go to the Replimat alone.

Garak went to the Replimat, got a seat, a tea and a meal and started to eat. He watches the entry and after a while, to his pleasant surprise, Weyoun visits the Replimat as well. Their eyes meet and with a gesture, Garak invites Weyoun to sit next to him. Weyoun gets himself a tea as well, before he follows the invitation.

Garak: So you decided to deny yourself the etablissement’s exquisite cuisine.

Weyoun: Just for now. I already had a solid meal a little while ago.

(they share a long, knowing look)

G: I understand. So you are already satisfied.

W: As I said. Though I might get an appetite again, just by watching you eat.

G: Appetite? I wasn’t aware that there is an appetite to provoke in a Vorta. Did the treatment of our dear Doctor Bashir affect your ability to taste?

W: No, unfortunately. So far, it seems like a missing sense of taste is a trait of Vorta physique, not given by the Founders, as they liked us to believe, but by nature. But so is our curiosity about textures! And Doctor Bashir encouraged me to explore all the different cuisines the Alpha Quadrant has to offer. There is so much to discover! Your meal for example, if you don’t mind me asking -

G: Do you want a taste?

W: What is it?

G: Nes'ok – an omelet of three Regova eggs. A typical cardassian dish. Common in rural areas, which doesn’t contrast at all with the meal’s sublime flavour.

(Garak hands him a fork full of omelet. Weyoun’s finger softly touch the cardassian hand, that holds the fork, while taking the bite)

W: It’s so soft! Almost foamy! And silky-smooth to your throat while swallowing. Thank you! Doctor Bashir recommends the cardassian cuisine with good reason.

G: What a pleasure to hear he spoke in high terms of it.

W: Some of his most favourite dishes are cardassian! And I start to see why.

G: If the smoothness of the nes'ok was to your liking, many delicious encounters more await you in cardassian culture.

W: I’d love to return the favour by offering an equally interesting insight in Vorta culture. But I’m afraid, the cuisine of a species without a sense of taste would be of no appeal for a gourmand like you, Mr. Garak.

G: I wouldn’t be too sure about that. Who knows? Maybe you can teach me to appreciate the textures of food the way you do?  Or – maybe I’ll discover flavours, that your tongue is incapable to register. Just like my eyes know to value your sight in a way that’s still hidden from your own.

W: I’m afraid you have to elaborate on that for me to understand.

G: Please, don’t take it amiss – but your wardrobe doesn’t give the impression of a new found sense for aesthetics. More nes'ok? (again, he offers him a fork full of his meal, which Weyoun gratefully accepts)

W: Oh dear, that’s what I feared. Sorrounded by species, who value stylistic assurance, it was a mere question of time, until I’d embarass myself. Maybe a gifted tailor like you can help me out of this awkward affair.

G: With pleasure! Fashion is my day to day business after all. If it’s convenient to you, I’ll take your measurements right this evening.

W: This evening already? Won’t Doctor Bashir await you in your quarters?

G: Trust me if I say, it happens the other way around on an almost daily basis. While our good Doctor devotes himself completely to his work, poor Garak patiently waits dinner, so none of them has to sit alone on a silent table.

W: You are as devoted to your Doctor as he is to his work. And I am free this evening, to answer your question.

G: Excellent! I’ll let him know, that I’m going to eat my supper at the shop today.

W: How very generous of you to instantly take me under your wing.

G: What can I say - it’s your sight that hurrys me on.

W: You really detest my clothing, don’t you?

G: The sooner you’re out of it, the better for both of us.

W: A most excellent motto for today’s evening. Eight pm is the soonest I am able to offer.

G: Wonderful! I’ll better start doing the alterations on Mr. O'Brien’s pants then, so I’m finished before we meet again. (Garak stands up from his seat) Till then, Mr. Weyoun!

W: You see me already excited!

(they say goodbye with a nod to each other, that comes close to a small bow)

——

Next morning.

Weyoun 6 and Garak just left the shop of the latter and walk along the promenade, towards The Replimat, where Garak has his daily breakfast date with Bashir.

While leaving the shop, Weyoun and Garak are already deep in conversation.

[…]

Garak: I can’t deny, you do have all qualities it takes to be an excellent diplomat.

Weyoun: Well, it’s in my genes, you know. In the end, I am as much of a typical Vorta, as you are a typical Cardassian. (they exchange bitter smiles)

Garak: In a sick society, outcasts are the last sane people.

W: You do speak like a true cardassian though. Using bombastic words to say nothing of importance at all.

G: Oh please, you won’t start to appreciate the beauty of words now, will you? They are feints! It’s the breaks you have to pay the closest attention to.

W: If that were true, you wouldn’t have told me.

G: Now you’re disappointing me. I thought, with ears as delicate as yours, you’d be able to decipher the messages, that lie hidden in cardassian silence.

W: Maybe it is true and I do have the ability. Then it was the mere lack of opportunity that hindered me from discovering it. Dukat loved his own voice too much to ever fall quiet. And all you could hear in Damar’s silence was the emptiness of a mind, benumbed with Kanar.

G: If you had listened closely, you would have heard the coming rebellion in his breaths.

(They arrive at the the point, where they have to part company. They stop and see Bashir heading for them.)

W: In that case, we are all lucky, that I wasn’t aware of it.

G: I have a feeling, your fork-tongued clones would disagree.

(Bashir joins, but doesn’t interrupt their conversation)

W: You didn’t mind my two tongue tips last night. (with a generous smile to both:) I hope, you have a pleasant time at the Replimat. Enjoy your meal! (Weyoun leaves)

Bashir: (as soon as Weyoun is out of earshot:) Is this true, do Vorta literally have two tongue tips?

G: My dear, if I’d hand truth to you on a silver platter, I’d only spoil the magnificent opportunity for you, to discover it yourself.
