to the youngsters out there. did you know there was a time on the internet where, when creating an account, one could enter a complete bullshit fake email and the website would just not check if it was real? no verification codes, no validating of any kind. of course SOME of them did do verification stuff, but a ton just didnt bother. the email back then was barely relevant to making an account on many websites, and some forwent the whole requirement of an email entirely. it was the wild west of account making back then
