Hey! I haven't watched ds9 in ages, but I recently got some nice comments on an old abandoned fic so I'm back in trying to finish it (or at least make progress). With that said, is Kardasi the name of the Cardassian language? The wiki just calls it "Cardassian Language." I found a tumblr blog that used "Kardasi," but I figured you'd know as the resident Cardassian expert.

I always go by Kardasi, though that is pretty much exclusively fanon. I believe the term was coined by @tinsnip and @feltalures for their conlang. I tend to use a mix of their take on Cardassian language and some of my own devising, but I just think the term Kardasi sounds nice and natural for a species with (presumably) reptilian ancestry.
