julian spends the first 2 years on Cardassia thinking that cardassian cuisine is godawful, and it’s only when garak finally takes him to a restaurant that he admits (announces, expounds, remarks with great fanare) truly fine cardassian cuisine is delicious! garak loses it because it’s crocodile applebees and the fact is garak just can’t cook worth a damn and julian is just short of realizing he’s been eating burned garbage this entire time
