My other idea in regards to Kira, is that I don’t think that Damar’s murder of Ziyal bothered her that much - so it was not an issue for her to work with him.
Think about it - Damar kills Ziyal because Ziyal betrayed his side. She was, certainly, a traitor to Damar’s side of the conflict.
Kira was on the other side of the conflict, but I am sure during her time in the resistance she killed (or would have killed) traitors. We know that she is willing to kill collaborators, to the point she nearly killed her own mother so she certainly would be willing to kill traitors.
Thus, although she would not agree with Damar’s cause, I actually don’t think that Kira would find his killing Ziyal to be morally wrong.
I think that is giving Kira more credit for critical thinking than I am willing to give her, but an interesting take.
