What’s your thoughts on Tim Burton saying he won’t cast poc since they don’t fit the look he goes after? I know you’re a big Tim Burton films fan.

We passed the point of defending white directors/writers for their shitty actions and ideologies all because we love their work. I’ve seen people defend Tim Burton and J.K Rowling for countless shit. I’m tired. It’s so pathetic on his part to say that when he can easily incorporate poc in his movies. He’s just a lazy racist whore. I’m going to do the same as hp fans has done to J.K. I’ll enjoy the work but that doesn’t mean I’ll support in a way where he will profit from it since I grew up with his films. If I see anyone defending what he said I’ll block their ass. I’m in no mood to see that bs on Halloween.
This is the first I have heard of this and now I am giving an unequivocal FUCK YOU to Tim Burton. I was his biggest, most rabid fan girl for a looooong time, but not only has the quality of his work massively dropped in the last decade or so, his treatment of women has hardly been enlightened. I’d like to say I am surprised by this development, but having read enough interviews with him, he’s always been a douche.
