In honor of Halloween, please tell me what candy your favorite fictional character would hide from trick-or-treaters so that they can have a feast after the doorbell stops ringing.
The responses to this post are SO GOOD holy crap.

Dawn Summers is a licorice holdout.
Dawn has spent years dealing with vampires and monsters and demons and kids dressed up like any of those things are basically taunting her. They don’t DESERVE her licorice.

Sam steals two kitkats for every one he hands out to a kid. Steve starts to lecture him on it, but abruptly shuts his mouth when Sam lifts a strategically placed book to reveal the hoard of peanut butter cups that Steve has been subtly amassing all night.
Steve is a dirty rotten sneak who will be all wide-eyed aw-shucks at every single thing until you catch him cheating, which he always goddamn does. Sam does not begrudge Steve his Reeses, but finding his stash and calling Steve’s ass out is a question of honor.
(Sam may or may not have lifted some of those peanut butter cups when a little girl came dressed as Captain America, with a shield and a patriotic tutu. They’re the Cap stash, she earned them.)

Natasha loves black licorice. Especially the nasty salty Scandinavian kind. Kids never take it so she basically just buys big bags that she eats herself. (I think Bucky tries it once and decides it’s worse than nutrient slurry.)
Natasha’s candy-buying is deeply strategic. Getting candy on November 1 at half price is great, but there’s a deep satisfaction in earning her candy on October 31 by having just enough to seem like a Good House (no one wants to be seen as the person who gives out raisins) but mostly stuff no trick-or-treaters would touch so that she can eat it guilt-free as the night progresses.
Sam and Steve ask why she doesn’t just squirrel her favorites away like they do and she just says “What I do is art” and Bucky’s maybe never loved her as much as he does in that moment. He would kiss her, except not until she stops tasting like that licorice.

loki keeping kitkats and eating them like kourtney kardashian
Loki did not come to Midgard to let small children have the snacks he prefers, okay. They are HIS.
I want to say Damar would hide the best stuff, like Heath bars and Twix, but I think he would honestly like something more tart… so maybe Skittles or Starburst.
