earlier in the shower i thought about like,,, what if star trek made either the vorta or the trill like gallifreyans (doctor who) and instead of dying and getting a new body for the symbiont that carries the hosts’ memories or activating a new clone, what if they just fucking exploded and five seconds later had a whole new body? like how inconvenient but hilairous would that be?
like. worf breaks weyoun’s neck and damar’s like “oh fuck. you really shouldn’t have done that” and before worf can ask why, weyoun just fucking. goes up in a burst of light, throwing all of them like ten feet across the room and setting the doorway on fire a little bit and setting off the sprinkler system, and then jeffrey combs in a slightly different costume stands up and says some weird shit about wanting like some berries or something.
alternatively, dukat kills jadzia and immediately gets blasted out of the bajoran temple so hard the demon gets booted out of him from the sheer force of the explosion and then ezri stands up and looks around like “yo what just happened? wait, am i shorter now? DANG it.”
