All I’m saying is every single fellow white person who felt the need to scold people celebrating the election with reminders of all the work left to do as if the rest of us had completely forgotten the country we live in and didn’t have plans to get back in the fight after we took a break for five fucking minutes better be DOING THE FUCKING WORK right now.
Yeah like most of the people I know were celebrating because their workload was about to get easier, not because they were about to stop caring. They’re celebrating because they get to switch from “maximum frantic effort to try to shave pieces off how bad it’s going to get” to “actually able to try to make some good changes.”
Meanwhile a lot of groaners are absolutely blackpilled and think there’s absolutely nothing theh can do to stop capitalism so they might as well lie down and rot, and they’re pissing in the cornflakes of everyone saying, “Yay! We can begin making small but measurable systemic change!”
Most of the videos I’ve seen of people celebrating have been of people of color. Stop valuing your woke politics over the lives of real people, and their very real relief at this small but critical step in trying to turn our country into a better place than it has been.
