when someone tries to force their headcanon on others it just makes me reject that headcanon, like, vehemently. it could be a perfectly reasonable headcanon in itself, but the fact that this person (or group of people) are trying to force it on others makes it absolutely impossible for me to accept, let alone enjoy.
they usually use one of those “if you don’t agree with this headcanon you’re an awful person!!” techniques and my brain instinctively goes NOPE
and like there is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behaviour. yeah, I know you’d like people to agree with your headcanon. I’d like that too, and so would everyone else. but that’s not how it works. people are different and have different opinions and headcanons and that’s fine! that’s actually great! it’s another aspect of diversity, and if you can’t accept that, then I honestly don’t know what to say to you
