DS9 5x14 By Inferno’s Light is honestly a hilarious episode bc we get the reveal that Bashir was captured by the Dominion a month ago and a changeling has been in his place and is sabotaging the station, and then immediately the next thing we see “Bashir” do is make sandwiches for the crew but like, in a clearly evil and menacing manner. Also meanwhile in Dominion prison Bashir looks like he hasn’t slept in weeks and Garak is basically “oh hello? You’ve been tortured by the Jem Hadar for a month? You probably are dealing with some shit? Well I’m glad you’re here bc let me tell you I need to talk about my daddy issues please accompany me into this room to provide moral support while my dad dies”
We can only conclude that Julian is always making them sandwiches off-camera, perhaps has been doing so from S1, so this behaviour isn’t at all strange for him.

In Starfleet it’s the CMO’s job to make sandwiches for the rest of the senior officers.
