I like the idea that julian decides to show garak some lowbrow human humor, assuming he’ll tear it apart and primarily enjoy being disdainful of it, but garak LOVES it. it’s GENIUS. cardassian culture has no comedy like that. puns?? amazing. knock-knock jokes?? off the chain. dad jokes????? incredible. it goes on all night. julian’s beginning to fall asleep. he’s exhausted. and garak keeps jabbing him in the ribs . “ORANGE you glad I’m not another banana!?” he echoes with glee. “doctor, another, you must know another?–” julian has an early shift tomorrow. he can’t keep doing this. he puts on the film “Airplane!” and collapses, asleep. garak watches it 4 times in a row. entranced
