Welcome, Ms. Izzard. Your standup has been in my head rent-free for years since I was a teenager.
Oh, this is about Eddie Izzard having come out as trans, though I’ve always thought of her as gender-fluid: https://twitter.com/thebearcametoo/status/1340069773489696770?s=20

(Text from screenshot:
I’m seeing a lot of cruelty directed at Eddie Izzard for asking politely for people to use she/her pronouns. Eddie has been trans since the mid 80s. Eddie has been happy with she/her pronouns for years. She’s just now asking for people to drop the he/him pronouns she used to use.)
I think it’s very important to remember that while Eddie has dropped the usage of male pronouns and is now exclusively using she/her as her pronouns, she still identifies as gender-fluid, and that her usage of transgender is in the umbrella sense of being non-cis. She also still refers to herself consistently as a transvestite, which is an important aspect to her identity and self-expression as well.
We shouldn’t erase that Eddie Izzard is a gender-fluid person who now uses she/her exclusively, and not a trans-woman specifically. She is not binary identified, and part of respecting her pronouns is also acknowledging her gender identity as well. She has spent a long time laying it out for us, like the tweet says, which means we don’t get to put the words in her mouth.
