can we talk about how in the movie gremlins the love interest hates christmas and the main guy is like haha how can you hate christmas but it turns out its bc her dad died in an insanely gruesome christmas themed accident on christmas and she doesn’t even learn to love christmas or whatever at the end bc the lesson of the movie is about being a responsible pet owner and kind of has nothing to do with christmas at all

They are not paying aritsts anynore, but they are pocketing the saving and not reducing the cost to consumers.
