what i love about f/f garashir is i don’t think it would change anything. everything that rocks about that pairing would be completely intact with no real problems or issues at all. imho everything that makes it work is completely divorced from gender stuff.
correction: or the few things you’d have to change don’t have to do with their romantic potentential. like for clarity, if there were a magical plugin or whatever that could just make julian and garak female characters you’d still get a different vibe from sisko punching garak in the face hard enough to bleed so that might need to be uh adjusted
