TW: CSA, victim-blaming
Hi, so I continue to see confusion about why exactly Manu Intiraymi (who portrayed Icheb in Voyager) is so vile. And while google is easily accessible, I feel strongly that everyone needs to know about this and no one should forget it. This is for the sake of beloved Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp (Stamets in Discovery) and for survivors everywhere.
This is what Kevin Spacey (age 26) and Anthony Rapp (age 14) looked like in 1986 when Spacey lay down on top of him and attempted to persuade him to spend the night at his apartment.
In 2017, Rapp bravely let the world know about this traumatizing experience.

Intiraymi should be excluded from any and all trek projects and events going forward. Picard choosing to recast and kill-off Icheb was an impressive show of solidarity with Anthony Rapp. If you post about trek on twitter or instagram, Manu will probably follow you at some point. (A sad attempt to win back the fans who have disowned him.) When this happens to you, I suggest blocking him.
And this isn’t the first or only incident of Manu’s reprehensible behavior. He’s been a disgusting misogynist forever.

Regardless of what you think of Ted Cruz (he’s a monster in my book) or whoever the second person is, homophobia and misogyny are not the way to handle conflict. Flinging these things around as insults demonstrates all we need to know about who Manu is.
