my man got some fur on him and it’s very attractive.

That was shot in ‘88, but also if you’ve seen “From Beyond,” which was ‘86

did they have to shave his chest for that part??

it would make sense because they had to put makeup on him in that movie…

but that is a delightful thought that i just needed to share.

horrible thought: When the penis  monster sucked off his head hair, the chest hair went too.

This post drives my completely nuts, because I have a vague memory of Jeff talking about shaving his chest for a role in an interview, but I can’t find it anywhere?!? I think I read it in a magazine, either on paper or as a scanned in version online..

FOUND IT! It’s a german interview in a magazine called Moviestar. Here is the part:

I won’t spend much energy on translating the text of the interviewer (Nicole Iskra), because it’s Jeff’s part that’s interesting, anyway.

MS: After that scene in From Beyond, in which you get eaten by this worm, your chest is as smooth as that of a baby – did they shave off your chest fur*?

Jeff: Yes! (laughs)

MS: Did you do it yourself?

Jeff: Yes and I learnt something very important: Never use a normal razor blade, an electric razor is way better and safer and it doesn’t itch as badly, when the hair grows back. I had to shave my chest for a theater role once as well. I was 26 or so and played an 18-year-old.

(*Brustpelz = literally chest fur – I wonder if that’s really the word she chose while interviewing him or if it’s just loosely translated)
