And I will GLADLY infodump about my Romulan OC. My friends already hear about her way too much for their liking 😂
Her name is Kovira, and she used to be a centurion on a Romulan military vessel. (Ship name is TBD)
Basically, her ship got stuck in an anomaly while they were in a squabble with a Federation ship near the Neutral Zone. Long story short, both ships got transported on the other side of a wormhole. She was the sole survivor aboard her ship, and only a young lieutenant engineer named Faelleen was left aboard the Federation ship as well.
The two of them absolutely couldn’t stand each other. But here comes my favourite trope! The two of them are forced to work together. Both ships sustained heavy damage.
Kovira can’t stand the sight of this preppy, overdramatic Human woman, but she’s no engineer, and if they both want to get out of this alive, they need to salvage whatever parts they can from the Federation ship, and use them to fix the Warbird. Without the means to communicate with their respective governments, it takes them a good while.
The salvaging, the fixing and the trip back takes them the better part of a year, and in that time they grow to begrudgingly respect each other. When they eventually are able to establish contact with their people, they’ve become bickering roommates, secretly fond of each other under the sarcasm.
They go back to their respective worlds and don’t see each other again for several years, until the Romulan sun goes supernova in the events of Picard.
Kovira ends up a refugee on Earth, of all places, and through sheer luck she finds her old annoying Human roommate again. Kovira moves in with Faelleen in her little house in the English countryside, and they continue their bickering like nothing’s changed, secretly glad to have found each other again. Of course I’m making this whole thing up so you KNOW they’re both hopelessly pining after each other and vehemently denying it. 😌
Honestly, I have to make some art of these two!
I LOVE IT!!! This is so good omg I would watch the hell out of it if it were a show (or read the fic, if you ever decide to write it!!)
