if someone’s been scarred by the church it’s not your calling to explain to them why they’re wrong about their years of trauma and abuse.
Most christians in the notes: Sorry (but not reaaaally) about your abuse at the hands of my religious group! But don’t worry! THOSE Christians are wrong(although I will never take steps to correct them🤷♀️) but more importantly, I need you to understand it’s not MY fault at all! Sorry you got turned against god (by which I heavily infer that you’ll burn in hell if you don’t return to the faith that hurt you!)! I consider your loss of faith to be more of an issue than any of the severe trauma you suffered at the hands of my brethren! ‘Kay byeeeeeee!
It’d be cool if y'all could make efforts to condemn the behavior of “bad christians” to their faces, instead of to their victims.
