For the fandom ask meme: N, T
N - Name three things you wish you saw more of in your main fandom:
Lizard women, interesting OCs, and food headcanons.
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all:
It’s not a headcanon so much as a pet peeve, but I get endlessly irritated when characters that have het relationships in the canon get crowbarred into being labeled as gay by the fandom. Look, I get it. A lot of people don’t care for the het relationships/think they feel forced/find it icky for whatever reason. That’s fine. You can headcanon whatever you want. But as a bisexual, I’ve dealt with a lot of dismissal, erasure, and harassment from within the LGBT+ community, and I don’t want to deal with it in fandom spaces too. I have pretty much completely stopped interacting with any post that refers to Garak as gay because it makes me so frustrated. I know that a lot of those posts are using it as a coverall term, but it hurts to be made to feel as if my identity is somehow “not queer enough” in my own community, both as an LGBT+ individual and as a Trekkie.
