we don’t get a lot of information about cardassian biology. since Terok Nor was dark and steamy, the general conclusion is that they’re lizards and they like dark and hot environments. Garak is the only cardassian I remember complaining about the environmental conditions on DS9 post-occupation, though, which makes me wonder if it’s just him that’s bothered by it.
