Oh gosh, yes yes yes! Thank you so much, I’ve been keeping all my Tunisian!Bashir headcanons to myself for years, I’m so excited to finally share them with you!
- Growing up, Julian spent every summer by the sea, which is why he’s an excellent swimmer
- He loves Malouf music and often sings Malouf songs in the shower or hums Malouf tunes to himself while working
- His favorite Earth food is molokheyya
- The smell of jasmine reminds him of his grandparents’ house

Bougainvillea reminds him of his first kiss
- He speaks both Classical Arabic and the Tunisian dialect (+ of course Earth Standard)
- He used to have a pet Fennec (called Thaaloub) that he and his cousins rescued when it was a pup.
- Post-Canon, Julian and Garak visit Earth. Garak falls in love with Tunisia, especially the south, the desert, the dunes and canyons (he likes the forests of the north too, and the beaches, but the desert? lizard brain activated)
- The Tunisian tradition of napping every single day after lunch in the summer is also something Garak falls in love with. He can’t believe Julian never told him about it before (no really, we take summer napping very seriously)
- Years later when they get married it’s a Tunisian-Cardassian fusion wedding and it’s beautiful
