Hi! Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but do you think Pan folk are trans and bi phobic ? I’m seeing some arguments on my dash....

No worries :) Thanks for trusting my opinion on this.
Quick and direct answer: Neither bisexuality nor pansexuality is transphobic and both include non-binary and trans folk.
However, pan and bi folks are still people, so they may be bigots and transphobic - just know that when they do that, they’re going against what both pansexuality and bisexuality stand for and the LGBTQ+ movement as a whole.
I think I know the kind of discourse you’re talking about, though. I’ve seen bi folk claiming pansexuality damages bisexuality’s visibility - which doesn’t make sense and is not true. I’ve also seen pan folk claiming “bi” always means just two genders and so bisexuality is transphobic - WHICH ALSO IS NOT TRUE (see the Bisexual Manifesto from 1990 bellow).
In my opinion, that comes from pointless arguments that I’ve seen so far only in online spaces, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to think whoever started those intended to confuse and put queer people against each other. We are stronger when we are united, after all.
- What’s the difference between BI and PAN:
The main difference between the two is that pansexuality is mostly described as “being attracted to all genders or being attracted to people regardless of gender”. Meanwhile, a bisexual is a person who is attracted to multiple or all genders and might or might not have a preference/fluidity.
But honestly? Some pan/bi people just call themselves that bc they identify more the word, the flag or the political origins of each movement. Which is perfectly valid.
Basically, this:
