I literally love Voyager. I don't really know why so many people write it off or only like one or two characters or episodes?? It's so good! It has the strongest found family vibes of all the star treks ive seen; where the crew literally states that they are a big family on multiple occasions. And the theme of a long, long journey home that is totally improbable and might take years but they keep going despite the overwhelming odds? Romantic.

Voyager’s “every week a new planet & civilization” ethos is the closest to TOS we’ve ever gotten. Strange new worlds, indeed.
My favorite Trek!
I’ve never made that connection between TOS and Voyager before but you’re so right! In a way, Voyager is TOS in reverse. Instead of traveling out farther than ever before, they’ve been unwillingly sent father than anyone has gone before and are desperately trying to get back home. It was and is such a good setup.
