I want to see a Starfleet ship with a Ferengi linguist on board. Like… This is one of the easiest possible ways to incorporate the Ferengi talents and cultural attitudes in to Starfleet. It’s good business to learn as many languages as possible, both to be able to understand what the other side at the negotiating table is saying, regardless of universal translators (especially since those can easily miss nuances of a language), AND to speak with your partners in a language the other side doesn’t understand in order to better confirm your position.
If Treachery, Faith, and the Great River showed how Nog applies Ferengi sensibilities to his duties as an engineer, I want a Ferengi to show off how well they can manage linguistics and communication.
