There should be more fic where Julian shows up on Cardassia and quickly discovers that Cardassian culture is one of the many things Garak has been flagrantly lying about.

The Never Ending Sacrifice is actually a hacky spaceport paperback that was only published like 10 years ago and most Cardassians would totally deny having read it.
