So the Anti-Defamation League did a poll of American Jews and the findings are sad, if not shocking. 60% of American Jews were witness to, or victim of an Antisemitic hate crime in the month of May. Thats 2 out of every 3 Jews in America. Thats not really shocking, given that the number of antisemitic hate crimes in May 2021 was more than double May 2020. I'm sure if you are Jewish or are close to any Jewish people you already know all this, have seen it, been the victim of it etc. The saddest part for me personally is how pretty much everyone felt like there was no one doing enough. I feel that, I feel that really deeply, we see reactions for other communities in pain, in need, etc and also see how little reaction Jews get in pain and in need, we end up with only ourselves.
