I forget whether I've mentioned this before, but the ending of DS9 with Sisko going off to hang out with the Prophets really bothers me.

Avery Brooks always talks about the relationship between Ben and Jake Sisko being one of the things that attracted him to the show. People still talk about how great it was to see a single father's relationship with his son given so much attention, especially in a black family. We have a season 4 episode where an alternate version of Jake loses his father at a young age and is unable to move on for his entire life.

And then Sisko disappears and leaves Jake behind as well as his unborn kid and his wife? Nah, fuck the Prophets for that tbh. Sisko should have booted them all in their incorporeal groins.
