okapis are the closest living relative to giraffes, and they have the 18-inch-long blue prehensile tongue to prove it!

like giraffes, okapis mostly use their tongue to pull vegetation down into their reach!

but they also use it to groom themselves, like a really messed up giant cat with hooves:
